When and where is the wedding?Our wedding will take place on January 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Club Campestre de Pereira in Colombia—a special place close to Mariana’s heart, where she spent much of her time growing up and learned how to play tennis.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will take place in a covered but open-air space—allowing you to enjoy Pereira’s fresh and beautiful evening weather. Pereira has an ideal climate year-round, with average highs around 80°F and lows around 63°F.

Is it safe to travel to Colombia?Yes—Colombia is safe, especially in the areas we’ll be visiting. Just like anywhere else in the world, there are parts of town that are better than others, and we’ll be spending our time in the best and safest areas of Pereira and Cartagena. Colombia sometimes gets a bad reputation because of its history, but so much has changed. It’s a beautiful, welcoming country, and we’re excited for you to see it through our eyes.

Which airport should I fly into?For Pereira, the closest airport is Matecaña International Airport (PEI). It’s just a short drive from the city and very convenient for our wedding events. For Cartagena, you’ll want to fly into Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG), which is located just minutes from the historic center and main hotels.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?We’re coordinating with the hotels to arrange shuttles at specific times and will update the site as details become available. In the meantime, Uber is a more reliable option than local cabs.

What are the recommended hotels for the wedding?In Pereira, we recommend staying at the Sonesta Hotel. It’s conveniently located near most activities, and by using our promo code, you’ll receive a 12% discount on the rates listed on their website. Will there be transportation to and from the wedding venue?Yes, we’ll provide transportation to and from the wedding venue for guests staying at the Sonesta Hotel, as well as shuttle service to scheduled group activities.

What activities are planned for the weekend?We have activities planned starting Thursday, January 8, 2025, kicking off with a visit to the famous Cocora Valley. The fun continues with a coffee tour the next day, along with a welcome party that night. Sunday will be a relaxing day at the country club—all taking place in beautiful Pereira. You can find more details on the Events & Activities page. After that, we’ll be heading to Cartagena for those who’d like to join us and continue the adventure!

Do I need to RSVP for the group activities?Yes, it’s very important that you RSVP for the events so we know who’s attending and can plan everything smoothly. Some activities require tickets, which means there will be a fee to participate.

Will transportation be provided to the activities?Yes, transportation will be provided for all scheduled activities in Pereira, exclusively from the Sonesta Hotel. For the Cartagena trip, we’ll rely on Uber, as it’s the most convenient option.

When is the Cartagena trip taking place?We’ll be heading to Cartagena on Monday, January 12, 2026, and staying until Thursday, January 15, 2026. However, feel free to leave earlier or stay longer if you’d like! There’s no strict itinerary for this trip—we just want to relax, spend time together, and enjoy the beauty of the city.

How do we get around Cartagena?We’ll mostly use Uber to get around—it’s the easiest way to get from one spot to another without a hassle.

What should I pack for the destination wedding and activities?For the wedding and activities, pack light, comfortable clothing for the day events (remember, there will be golf, tennis, soccer, and padel on Sunday for anyone interested in the sports). Be sure to check the Style & Glam page for the wedding dress code. Don’t forget swimwear for pool or beach time, sunscreen, and a hat for sunny days. Colombia's evenings can become cooler, so it’s best to bring an extra layer if needed. Pereira has an ideal climate year-round, with average highs around 80°F and lows around 63°F. Cartagena ranges from 88°F and lows around 76°F but can be windy at times.

If you need transportation beyond the provided shuttle, we recommend using Uber — it’s cashless, and minimal communication is required beyond a few basic pleasantries. It’s also a good idea to download Google Translate to help with any language barriers. In Cartagena, English is more commonly spoken since it’s a popular tourist destination that attracts visitors from around the world. Still, having Google Translate handy can be helpful — or you can brush up on your Spanish with Duolingo before the trip!
